2How do I sign up for MoneyPatrol?
Following are the steps to sign up to MoneyPatrol.com:
  1. Go to the MoneyPatrol sign up page
  2. Click on the sign up button
  3. Enter your information, including Email, Password, and Mobile Number

  4. Once you have provided all the necessary information, click Create Account

You’ll get 15 days free trial period to try all of MoneyPatrol’s features.

3How do I verify my account?

An email with verification link will be sent to your registered email address. You will have to click the link and complete the verification process.

4How to update or change my personal information?
To change your password:
  1. Login to MoneyPatrol.com using your credentials
  2. Go to settings (click on gear icon on top right corner)
  3. Click on the "SECURITY" tab
  4. Click on "Change Password"
  5. Enter current password and new passord

Tips: Your password should be unique, long, contains uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters. You should never share your password with any one.

To enable/ disable dual factor authentication:
  1. Go to settings (click on gear icon on top right corner)
  2. Click on the "SECURITY" tab
  3. Toggle Enable / Disable button.

Note: Two-Factor authentication is an optional security feature to verify that it's really you when you log into your MoneyPatrol account. This makes your account more secure.

5How to add a new account on MoneyPatrol?
  1. Once you have successfully created your MoneyPatrol account, login using your valid credentials on MoneyPatrol.com
  2. On dashboard, you will be prompted with an option to add your financial account.
  3. After clicking on the Add Account button, you will be asked to link the account via any one of the following API partner.

    • Link account via Finicity
    • Link account via Plaid
    • Link account via Sherpa
    • Link account via Yodlee
  4. We have partnered with multiple account aggregator to provide a comprehensive coverage for connecting to thousands of Financial Institutions. If you run into any issues while connecting your accounts, please send an email to support@moneypatrol.com
  5. On successful connection of your financial institution, you can start tracking and managing your finances on MoneyPatrol.com

7How to track my spending, monitor finance and manage budgets?

Click on the dasboard to get insights on your spending, expenses, savings and bills. You can check all the details by taking a look at the snapshot on your dashboard. Snapshot provides a glance view of Expenses, Income, Net flow, Cash available, Credit available, Credit loans, Credit usage and Investments.

Expenses: It shows the amount spent by the user per institution within the current month.

Income: It shows the income transactions details done within the current month.

Net Flow: It displays the cash In-flow, cash Out-flow and cash Net flow statement of the current month.

Cash available: It is nothing but the balance in checking/ savings accounts.

Credit Available/Credit Loans/Credit Usage: It provides the credit limit, credit available and credit loan details of the current month.

Investments: It is the portfolio value.

Balance Sheet: You can check balance sheet on dashboard which gives the net worth statement. It shows your financial position at a given point in time. It is like a “financial snapshot” that shows the dollar value of what you own and what you owe. The balance sheet is based on the following fundamental equation:-

Netflow = Inflow - (minus) Outflow.

It could be positive or negative. A balance sheet shows the balance of Checking accounts, Savings accounts, Investments account, Other assets, Credit/Loan accounts, Mortgage, Other debt and Loans.

Credit Card & Usage: The credit card and usage on dashboard provide the user with all his credit cards details. The customer can view the total available credit limit, credit loan, credit available and credit usage of each individual card on the dashboard.

8How to delete linked financial Institutions?

You can delete your MoneyPatrol account at any time. But if you change your mind later, you might not be able to recover it.

To delete the account, follow the below steps:

  1. Go to the accounts page.
  2. Choose the account you want to delete.
  3. Click on the delete icon.

Popup message to confirm will appear.

Click "Yes to confirm deleting selected account" and "No" to cancel.

9After linking the financial Institution, can I change the type of account?

Yes, you can do that if the linked account doesn't have the right type selelcted. Once you login into the MoneyPatrol.

Please follow the below steps to change the type of linked account:

  1. Go to the Accounts page.
  2. Click on edit icon below the “TYPE” tab.
  3. Popup window will open and here you can easily change your account type.
10How do I turn off the Alerts and Notifications completely, can I set preferences?

You can turn off either Text or Email alerts one at a time. But if you want to disable alerts and notifications altogether follow the below steps:

  1. Go to "User Setting"
  2. Click on "Alerts"
  3. Configure Text and Email Alerts
  4. Uncheck the "Text and Email Alerts"
11How often is my account updated, do I have to do it manually?

Your account will be updated automatically.

Most of your accounts in MoneyPatrol should refresh on their own in every 24 hours. For some reason, If your account is not updated, then MoneyPatrol provides the feature to do it manually (a refresh icon) using which the user can refresh all linked accounts.

12How to find my bank, or financial institution?

We support four API partners. You can add account via any one of it. A pop window will open while adding the account which will suggest you the list of bank names. You can refer below popup image for your understanding.

13How to add or manage bills?

You can do it via documents tab which is to the right of the transaction calendar tab. Document tab assists the user to upload their transaction receipts. Users are allowed to download the uploaded document. Also, users can see previews of uploaded documents. It shows the date of the last uploaded and the count of the total uploaded documents.

14Can I make any payment through MoneyPatrol?

No, MoneyPatrol is a personal finance app that monitors all of your financial accounts securely and assists you in tracking your spending and managing your personal finances overall.

Alert ticker:

Alert ticker is a quick insight to the user. It helps them to know the updates based on credit loans, cash out-flow/In-flow, etc.

Review Transactions:

When you click on the Review Transaction tab, It will render you to the Transaction Summary page. It will give a complete transaction summary to the user. You can manage the categories, add the transaction, add the Categories/Merchant/Tag rule, edit the merchant and add the transaction tags through the transaction summary page.

Recent Transaction:

Recent transactions will show you the transactions processed in the course of last month.

Snapshot:

Snapshot provides a glance view of Expenses, Income, Net flow, Cash available, Credit available, Credit loans, Credit usage and Investments.

Expenses:

It shows the amount spent by the user per institution within the current month.

Income:

It shows the income transactions details done within the current month.

Net Flow:

It displays the cash In-flow, cash Out-flow and cash Net flow statement of the current month.

Cash available:

It is nothing but the balance in checking/ savings accounts.

Credit Available/Credit Loans/Credit Usage:

It provides the credit limit, credit available and credit loan details of the current month.

Investments:

It shows your portfolio and its value.

Insights:

It is the graphical insights of your spend share by merchant and category.

Trends:

Trends displays the daily spend and monthly flow. It informs the user about money Out-Flow and money In-Flow.

Credit Score:

MoneyPatrol comes up with Equifax credit score, an educational credit score developed by Equifax. Equifax credit scores are provided to consumers for their use to help them estimate their available credit position. To get the score, users need to sign in with First name, Last name and SSN. Users will have to verify their identity by providing answers to security questions or using the auth code sent on the user's mobile phone.

Recurring Merchants:

Recurring merchants widget shows the details of recurring transaction occurrence date, its merchants and amount.

Utility Bill Reminders:

Utility bill reminders remind you before the due date.

Transaction calendar:

The transaction calendar defines an accounting year and the periods it contains. It preserves the records of Expenses made, Incomes, and Cash Flow. Users can see Money In-Flow/Out-Flow day wise and monthly Cash-flow in the calendar view.

16How to cancel the subscription and delete my MoneyPatrol account?

If you run into any issues while using MoneyPatrol, please send an email and we will try to resolve the issue support@moneypatrol.com

To cancel your subscription, please follow the below steps:

  1. Visit the user settings page.
  2. Click on the Billing.
  3. Click on the "Cancel" Button
  4. Here you can cancel your subscription.

Note: You can delete your MoneyPatrol Account at any time but beware that you won't be able to recover your account if you change your mind laer. If you delete your account, you will lose all the access to MoneyPatrol's services.
